
Dr.
Bonner provides full service ophthalmology utilizing the latest
technology. He is certified on the VISX excimer laser. In addition, he
performs laser treatments, cataract, glaucoma, plastic, and other
surgical procedures. He has hospital privileges at Deer River
HealthCare Center, Northern Itasca Health Care Center in Bigfork, Grand
Itasca Clinic and Hospital in Grand Rapids, and Fairview University
Medical Center - Mesabi in Hibbing.
Dr.
Bonner is a Grand Rapids native. After high school, he attended St.
John's University where he graduated cum laude. He earned his medical
degree at the University of Minnesota in Duluth and Minneapolis.
Following
an internship at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Dr.
Bonner completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of
Minnesota in Minneapolis. He is board certified by the American Board
of Ophthalmology.
Dr.
Bonner is a member of the

American Academy of Ophthalmology and the
Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Bonner has been very involved
with the Grand Itasca

Hospital and Clinic over the years. He was
chairman of the hospital board in 1999-2000. In the past, he has served
as chief of staff at Itasca Medical Center, is a former president of
the Range Medical Society, and has served as clinical assistant
professor at the University of Minnesota - Duluth School of Medicine.
Dr.
Bonner joined his father's ophthalmology practice in 1987 and became
sole owner of Bonner Eye Clinic, Ltd., in 1990 upon the retirement of
his father. Dr. Jerry Mariano joined the practice in 2001 and became a
partner in 2003. In 1999, Bonner Eye Clinic opened a satellite office
in Hibbing.
Dr. Bonner has performed
over 5,000 refractive procedures including LASIK, Photorefractive
Keratectomy, cataract surgery, ReZoom and Crystalens multifocal lenses
and Intracorneal collamer lenses (ICL’s).

M.
Jerry Mariano, M.D., has a comprehensive ophthalmology practice
treating diseases of the eye, including eye surgery and laser eye
surgery. He is certified on the VISX excimer laser for laser refractive
procedures. He also has specialized training in glaucoma, and is able
to provide advanced glaucoma treatment and surgery. Dr. Mariano has
hospital privileges at the Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital in Grand
Rapids, Deer River Hospital, and Fairview University Medical Center -
Mesabi in Hibbing.
He grew up in
Grand Forks, North Dakota, where his father was also an eye surgeon. He
later attended Carleton College of Northfield, Minnesota, where he
graduated cum laude. He went to medical school at the University of
North Dakota, followed by internship training at MeritCare Hospital in
Fargo, North Dakota.
Dr.
Mariano completed his ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in
Detroit, Michigan. During his final year of residency, he served as the
chief resident. Due to an interest in treating glaucoma, he completed
additional fellowship training in glaucoma at the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr.
Mariano is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
He
is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Minnesota Academy
of Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive
surgeons. He is also a member of the American Medical Association.
Dr. Mariano joined the Bonner Eye Clinic in 2001. He sees patients at both the Grand Rapids and Hibbing offices.
Dr.
Mariano has performed over 1,000 refractive procedures including LASIK,
Photorefractive Keratectomy, cataract surgery, ReZoom multifocal
lenses and Intracorneal collamer lenses (ICL’s).

L.
Taylor Kincannon, O.D., was born in Hammel, Minnesota and graduated
from Orono High School. He received his undergraduate degree in
biomedical science from the University of South Alabama in Mobile,
Alabama. While in Alabama he married his wife Brenda, a Mankato, MN
native, in Gulf Shores, and they have been happily married for 20
years. They relocated and his degree in Optometry was earned in
Memphis, Tennessee at the Southern School of Optometry.
After completing his professional education he and his wife Brenda
returned to their home state of Minnesota. They have three children and
the family enjoys many outdoor activities, especially hiking, biking
and fishing. Dr. Kincannon proudly serves as a Captain of the Minnesota
Army National Guard, and provides optometry services with Medical
Detachment Unit. He has been providing primary eye care for residents
of Minnesota for over 10 years. Dr. Kincannon has been with the Bonner
Eye Clinic since February of 2007. He sees patients in both the Grand
Rapids and Hibbing offices specializing in exams for glasses, contact
lenses and LASIK Refractive Surgery.
