Contact Lenses Contact lenses are the preferred
method of vision correction for many people, whether you wear them for
cosmetic reasons or for sporting activities. Contacts are a
great alternative to glasses but must be properly fit and their care
understood, to be worn safely. Successful contact lens wear depends on
the efforts of the patient, the technician and the doctor.
Bonner Eye Clinic has trained technicians to assist you for a successful
experience. Soft contact lenses (SCL) are the first
choice for many people, especially those new to contact lens
wear. They offer comfort and affordability with many options
of disposability and wear time. Daily disposable contact
lenses offer the ultimate convenience with a no maintenance
approach to contact lens wear, no cleaning or disinfection
required. These are a great option for occasional wearers or
for people active in sports. Advances in materials,
production and design have produced contacts that are affordable and
available in most prescriptions. New silicone hydrogel soft
lenses have the highest oxygen permeability of any soft lens
available. Rigid gas permeable lenses (RGP) are a
good option for those who demand sharp, consistent vision. It
is an exceptionally good choice for astigmatism, bifocal needs, or
correction for corneal irregularities. The staff at
Bonner Eye Clinic would be happy to assist you with your contact
experience.
